{ Handmade Cork Board with Fabric Scraps }

A friend dropped off a few bags of giveaway clothes the other day for me to use to make crafts.
I couldn't resist making something out of these well worn jeans.
The denim was perfectly aged and I could resist using it for something in the girls room.

I decided to use the denim to wrap a cork board I had.

I wrapped the whole cork board with one leg of the jeans, and hot glued the material to the back.

The corners were wrapped like a present.

The denim was well wore, so there were marks here and there, like this white paint splatter.

I searched the internet for an image I thought would look cute and cover the paint mark.

I pulled together some other scraps I had in my craft room.
A teal wool, some brown flannel damask, and a gray jersey knit.

I cut some teal wool in a branch shape.

And, ta-da, the paint splatter disappears.

Some little birds to perk on the branches cut out of the gray knit.

I screwed "D" hooks onto the back of the cork board.
