{ Sneak Peek - and what's been goin' on }

I've been at the Philadelphia Home Show all week, but wanted to give you a sneak peek of what you can look forward to seeing if you plan on attending.

I've created a little outdoor garden for my "Crafty Camper".
I know you're dying to see that too, but you'll just have to wait!
There are tons of pictures to share with you, but a girl's gotta sleep too!.
More to come once I edit a few hundred pics!

In the mean time, head on down to the Home Show this Friday, Saturday or Sunday and look me up.
I am in the 1000 isle with 5 other designer rooms.
I'll also be speaking at 2pm on Sunday on the Home Show stage.
So, stop but and see what I'm babbling about.
See you there

Giveaway

I've been planning and planning and painting and painting and prepping and preparing for the upcoming Philadelphia Home Show and I'm are super excited to be speaking twice at the show this year.

On Sunday 1/19 at 2pm I will be speaking with my special guest Kelly Elko, from Eclectically Vintage.
If you're familiar with Kelly, you know she's got some great vintage style and super simple and clever DIY projects. She also shakes a mean shaker.
Kelly is super sassy and I'm a little nervous to let this chick loose on stage, but I can't wait!
I promise you this is not going to be you average "convention presentation".
So, you probably are NOT going to want to miss that.

I'll also be speaking on 1/26 at 2:00 at the Phila. Home Show. But, sorry, no Kelly that day. Wahh.
But I promise it will be full of great information and definitely a few laughs.
I'll show you some great DIY ideas and how YOU can create a Mom cave for yourself.

I'm also super happy to be able to show the world my newly renovated 1972 Shasta Camper!
Perfectly named, "The Crafty Camper".
The Crafty Camper will be set up as a Mom Cave in the Designer Room section of the Home Show for the entire length of the show (1/18-1/26). So you will be able to visit and take a tour of the camper.
(You won't want to leave!)

Be sure to check out the Phila. Home Show website for days and hours.
There are tons of great speakers lined up and 5 other designer rooms besides mine.

{ Vintage Door Coffee Table }

I recently helped a girl named Brooke add a little life to her apartment.
This vintage door coffee table was a huge hit and I wanted to show you a few more images of it.

It was originally a dutch door.

So the top is glass and the sides have a great barndoor style to them.

We left all the original hardware on it wherever we could.

We added a bottom shelf created from pallet wood.

Isn't it the best?
It was such a huge hit,  I will be adding more to my spot at
Each door will be different, but all will be fabulous!

It's LIVE!!

My new website is finally LIVE!

Thanks so much to Matt Vessell from mtvessell Design Studio for all your hard work.

It was so fun to see the branding start coming to life a few months ago with the new business cards that Matt created.

I don't think I was the easiest client Matt probably ever had, but I'm so thankful for all the hard work he put into my brand and website. I'm also so thankful for the extra lengths that he went to make it perfect!
I'm looking forward to posting a few new projects on the portfolio page and on the blog within the next few months.  I've been so busy with new projects that I haven't had a chance to actually post about them.  I'm looking forward to getting them photographed and on the site.

Please visit the new website when you get a chance and share it with your friends.

{ Updating a rental apartment }

Would you love it if your mom arranged to have your new apartment furnished and refreshed?
Yup, me too.
This is what this lucky daughter's living room looked like when I left.

This is what it looked like when I got there.
(before)

Since it's a rental, we weren't able to paint.
But, pillows, throws and some creative pieces of furniture turn blahh, to BAMM!

A trip to HomeGoods and a discarded dutch door fill out the center of the room.

I had this dutch door coffee table made especially for Brooke. We left most of the hardware.

A bottom shelf was crated from pallett wood.

I added some color and a larger piece under the tv.

Brooke found this larger charcoal gray rug the other day at HomeGoods, so I added this photo most recently.

Pretty cozy now, right?

Happy 2014!

2014 is already shaping up to be a great year.  In 2 days Elbow Room will premiere on the DIY Network.  There will be a block of shows so be sure to tune in on Friday, January 3rd at 3pm.  They'll be airing Seasons 1 and 2 while we are hard at work on Season 3.  Season 3 is set to premiere on HGTV sometime in late Spring 2014.  We've filmed 6 episodes of the 3rd Season and have 7 more to go.

Another great happening in 2014 will be the addition of a sweet little girl in June.  I'm expecting another little one.  Billy and I are thrilled and can't wait for Chase to have a sister!
In June 2013, I started a rebranding of my company.  The rebranding of Cristi Holcombe Interiors, LLC is almost complete and my website should be launching within days.  The blog has also gotten a facelift.  I'll continue to use Charm Home as my blog and Twitter handle but will use Cristi Holcombe Interiors for the official company business.

I'm looking forward to 2014 and hope that you are too!

Here's to a great one! xoxo

{ Cottage of the Month Feature }

I have a feeling you can image what it was like when Jennifer Grey, from The Old Painted Cottage,  told me I was going to be her "Cottage of the Month" house for January 2014.
I am thrilled beyond belief to be added to her list.
What better way to start off the new year? I have a feeling it's going to be a good one!

You can view my house and dozens of other
charming homes

Enjoy!
And Happy New Year!
