Where to buy Cast Iron Beds?

I did a post on this look some months back and keep getting queries from readers about where they can get that traditional cast iron bed look.
I bought my single beds from Forty Winks (now Home Zone). They look great and I'll post a shot soon - they are currently at one of the beach cottages.
Freedom now do a reasonably priced version, as do Ikea.
I have included photos.

Purists will poo-poo theses knock-off versions but the original ones are usually odd sizes and need work. Believe me, I have a stunning iron bed in pieces in storage as I have to get a custom mattress made for it and fix it up a bit. It will probably remain in storage while my Forty Winks beds are solid, well made and look great!

{ Burlap bunting }

Okay, something I use all year long,but especially love wrapped around my Christmas tree is burlap bunting.

Simple. Charming. You need to make one.

Here's what you'll need -

I cut strips of the webbing into 8" pieces (this will create a 4" flag)
Hot glue down the sides and along the rope line so it won't slide.

Fold over so everything lines up cleanly.
I add a webbing flag approximately every 10" along the rope (which is a cotton clothes line btw)

For more detail you can cut a "V" in the end.

I hang this bunting on my mantel all year long.
But, it's great around a tree too. You'll have to wait for my tree reveal coming soon!

{ Gentleman's Tie Wreath }

If you're looking for a new style of wreath to make yourself, look no further.

I have the ultimate in up-cycling wreath for you today.

And, it's not just for Christmas. You could use this in other colors for Father's Day, or anytime of the year!

I bought a few dozen at Goodwill.

For this Christmas wreath, I separated out the colors, using only greens, reds and gray ties. (I'll save the other colors for a Father's Day wreath.)

Using hot glue and a foam wreath form, I began to wrap, and wrap and wrap.

(how funny is it that it comes with "recommendations" as to what color suit to wear this tie with)

I wrapped each tie really close together so you couldn't see the foam.

At the end, I left a longer bit unglued.

I kept layering until the entire wreath was filled with ties.

I love the outcome. How fun, right?

This is also great Christmas decor for a bachelor, or an office of stuffy suits.
