{ What's going on in the Workshop }

 It's only 16 days 'til Spring and I AM READY.
I've been channeling warmer weather through this coastal theme I've got
going on in the basement workshop.
So I thought I'd let you in with a little sneak peek at what
I've been creating.

We'll start with this dresser in Eulalie's Sky, by MMS Milk paint.
I feel like the buyer is required to have a beach house.
It's. Just. So. Perfect.

I'm tempted to keep this distress white and black buffet for myself,
drop a sink in it and completely overhaul my master bath.

This locker is PERFECT next to an outside shower.
I think I'll add something to the front of it.
Maybe a number, maybe a stencil.
I don't know. Stay tuned for this one.

This is a cutie.

I'm struggling a little with this one.
I'm already on a third color.
Maybe a gray body and keep the drawers white.

3 little end tables perfect for next to a sofa or a bed.
The 2 tables on the bottom can be pulled together to create a mini coffee table
when company arrives.
A great size for a beach cottage.

I've been creating some recycled wood frames from left over scraps.
How cute is that baby?

 More frame scraps.

These lamp shades are painted with chalkboard paint.
So you can add messages to them.
I'll add some pom pom trim before I send them off for sale.

All of these items will be set up soon at

See something you like?
Give them a shout.

{ Are you ready for the beach? }

Okay, I'm over Winter and planning for the Summer.
If you're from the East Coast, you'll be heading to Stone Harbor, Avalon, Cape May, and all parts of eastern New Jersey as soon as Memorial Day hits.
If you're lucky enough to have your own place there, you'll probably be cleaning up and refreshing your summer cottage too.

Well, lucky for you, I'm doing all the hard work for you.
I am currently filling my garage with furniture perfect for your beach house.
I've been using Annie Sloan chalk paint, Provence being my current fav.

And, Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint,
Kitchen Scale and French Enamel are this weeks fav there.
So many options
But of course I have my favorites!
Right now I'm loving all blues, greens, and grays.

Which is fitting, because I took my "Color Personality" test from BHG and found out
that "this" is my palette...

Want to know your color personality?
take this test...

I started a board on Pinterest for some Summertime
furniture inspiration -

I love all these colors.
They are fresh, clean, and add just the right amount of color
for a beach house.

So, I've got lots of furniture coming your way.
You can find my goodies for sale at

{ Porch - Before & After }

A little while ago I posted some pictures of my back porch...
which I can't wait to start using again!
{you can see more of the porch if you click the picture below}

then, BONUS! I found this picture from when we bought our house.
This was the listing photo.
enjoy.

jealous, huh?
I know.
Here is the porch now.
Or at least when the snow melts and the sun is out.

You can also see a ton of great images that were taken of my porch in
Vintage Style's Spring issue.
The photographers take WAY better photos that I do!

{ Music Sheet Dresser }

Thanks to all the snow that has been dumped on us in the suburbs of Philadelphia, and my large supply of Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint and Annie Sloan chalk paint, I have been getting lots of things painted.

{ Vintage Style Magazine }

Have I mentioned that my home was featured in Vintage Style Magazine? (Spring 2014)
It was super exciting to be asked if they could photograph my home for this shoot.
And super exhausting! Trying to keep my house clean was a challenge, but with a little smoke and mirrors, you'd never know 3 small kids and a ton of animals lived here.

Sorry, there's no link to the mag online. Is there? Let me know if there is.

Here's me and Lucy when we found the magazine on the news stand at Barnes & Noble!

and after we did a little "staging"...

Are you on Instagram? If so join me HERE. You get tons of sneak peeks of what's going on at the Painted Home & The Crafty Camper before anyone else.

{ Master Plan for the Bedroom }

I've been wanting to work on my master bedroom since the day we moved in.
It started off as a playroom/family room.
But, no one ever used it.
The room is at the tippy top of our multi-level house and has great bones
It has vaulted ceilings and wood beams.
It gets tons of natural light and is quiet and cozy.
It's just pathetically under-decorated.

Here's what I wish it looked like
(via my pinterest board)

Here's what is currently looks like.
Sad, droopy, with dribs and drabs of potential sneaking it's way in.
Like the painted dresser on the right side of the bed. It's my current fav MMS color, French Enamel.
I also like my bedding. It blues, gray, browns, and tans.
Thanks to the massive snow we've been receiving on the East Coast, the renovation has finally begun.

I'm trying to control myself and keep it monochromatic.
Channeling my inner Melaine...

But, I have a hard time with that, and I always end up adding some wacky color somewhere.
Here's some more inspiration pics.
I've been keeping a "bedroom" board on pinterest.
So you can find links to all these great rooms there.
